Our goal is always to protect our clients and provide clear, helpful guidance—especially when it comes to home safety and insurance requirements. Regarding the tree trimming, insurance carriers sometimes through the normal course of business will require certain maintenance to ensure your safety from fires, roof decay and for continued coverage. We always strive to communicate these UW requirements as respectfully and clearly as possible. I also understand how upsetting it is to have a policy canceled, especially after years of being a loyal customer. Please know that policy decisions, including UW cancellations, are made in accordance with State Farm’s underwriting guidelines and are out of my control as the agent. If the over grown trees were trimmed as requested, then the home policy would have continued without any issues.
